Designed with convenience and reliability in mind, the solution ensures both mothers and babies receive the highest standard of care. Discover the future of prenatal care—precise, safe, and accessible testing at your fingertips.
Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is one of the most common human viruses in the world, known as human herpesvirus 4 and is a member of the herpes virus family. The EBV infection prevalence in children under 4 years of age is as high as over 90%.
The transmission of the Epstein Barr virus occurs in several ways, such as deep kissing or food-sharing. Increased levels of viral DNA are found in salivary secretions after the initial infection. The transmission has occurred through stem cell and organ transplantation, as well as blood transfusion.
The BioPerfectus Epstein-Barr Virus Quantitation Real Time PCR Kit is intended for in vitro quantitative detection of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) DNA in human peripheral blood and plasma specimens.
Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) is a beta-herpesvirus that causes lifelong infection in humans. It is a common virus that infects people of all ages. Once CMV is in a person’s body, it stays there for life and can reactivate. About 60% of adults in developed countries and more than 90% in developing countries are infected with HCMV. People with CMV can pass the virus through body fluids, such as saliva, urine, blood, tears, semen, and breast milk.
Some people are at higher risk for complications from CMV, like those who are pregnant or have weakened immune systems. About 1 in 200 babies is born with congenital CMV infection. About 1 in 5 babies with congenital CMV infection will have birth defects or other long-term health problems.
The BioPerfectus Human Cytomegalovirus Real Time PCR Kit is intended for use with a multiplex real-time fluorescence analyzer to detect quantitative cytomegalovirus (CMV) DNA in human urine and serum.
Both EBV and HCMV can cause serious complications, especially during pregnancy or in individuals with weakened immune systems. Professional guidelines and consensus have been recommended for how to prevent and manage EBV and HCMV. Responding to the international call, BioPerfectus brings Prenatal & Neonatal Care solutions with Epstein-Barr Virus Quantitation Real Time PCR Kit and Human Cytomegalovirus Real Time PCR Kit to fight against EBV and HCMV. Caring about women’s and children’s health, BioPerfectus provides more than just a test, it is a promise of health for your little miracle.
